Delightful comedy about Malcolm, a mechanical genius who is otherwise mentally and socially challenged. He gets in some dodgy lodgers to help pay the rent, and they soon realise he is a valuable assett to their criminal plans. The film shifts easily between increasingly madcap comic adventures and touching moments within Malcolm's emotional development. A classic indeed, perfectly illustrating Tass' ability to render the magic touches of humanity.
