A powerful story, based on true events. Three aboriginal girls are taken from their families at a time when racial politics by the colonial powers were brutal. The children then endeavour to walk over a 1000 kilometres though desert country back to their homes. The result is an inspiring film, which has won many accolades, although it was beaten for the best film award at the Australian AFIs by The Tracker, an equally if not more superb example of filmaking about indigenous stories.
