Not your usual father and son story, as the tagline says! Russell plays Jeffs, a young gay man looking for Mr Right, whilst his dad (Thompson) comes to terms with the situation in his own unique way. A delightfully fresh and honest take on the subject of coming out, with great performances all round. All the more interesting for the against-type casting of Crowe, who adeptly illustrates his range extends far beyond dark, brooding bloke.
