This film was special when it came out. It signalled a new level of confidence, an audacious un-selfconscious sexy and engaging film by a new director, who unfortunately hasn't quite yet lived up to the potential shown here. Jimmy is a bareknuckle fighter who is asked by local crim-boss Pando to deliver a bag of money. Easy enough it would seem, but of course things go wrong and soon Jimmy's on the run from his former employer. Romance blossoms with Alex under the shadow of the law and Jimmy's fugutive life. First film from Jordan perfectly captured the patois, succeeding brilliantly as an ozzie crime caper of comparable quality to "Lock, Stock ..."
